Ski holidays Abtenau - family-friendly ski enjoyment!
Abtenau
Abtenau is the tranquil, chief city of Lammertals in Salzburger Land and lies at an altitude of 714 m, approx. 60 km south of Salzburg. In summer as well as winter Abtenau has a small village, cosy feeling, which is especially welcomed by families. This is also home to two-time champion and World Cup overall winner Alexandra Meissnitzer and the world champion David Zwilling. The illuminating winter toboggan run offers 3 km of tobogganing enjoyment. Also worth a visit is the ice skating rink at the sports centre in Abtenau.Dachstein West
The Dachstein West region is located in the border region of Upper Austria and the Salzburger Land and is a very popular holiday area for many skiing fans. A gorgeous panorama and diverse, comprehensive winter sports and après ski options attract the region's visitors every year anew. Not only do serious alpine sports stand at the fore; rather, a winter atmosphere for normal skiers and families is also a priority. In addition to wide pistes, cracks will find challenging deep snow runs, e.g. on Zwieselalm. Cross-country skiing fans will find a well established cross-country ski track network of around 223 km in the Dachstein West region.Travel Abtenau
