Ski holidays Alpbach - holidaying in the heart of Tyrol!
Alpbach
The cosy main resort of Alpbach (975 m), was declared the "loveliest village in Austria" in the 1980s and was voted "best small skiing village in Europe" in 2004. The village lies in the inner Alpbachtal on a sunny plateau with a heavenly view and direct access to the ski area at the Wiedersberger Horn. As Inneralpbach forms the head of the valley, peace and tranquillity reigns here, without disturbing traffic. Alpbach entices its guests with its historic ambience and a whole lot of recreational activities, such as tobogganing or winter hiking. The splendid guest houses promise a hearty atmosphere before you even set foot inside them.Alpbachtal
The Alpbachtal lies in the heart of Tyrol, only a stone's throw away from the well-known Zillertal. Mass tourism is not (yet) known here; tradition and a rustic comfortable atmosphere are at the top of the list. With the newly built connection to the ski areas in Wildschönau the "Ski Juwel" (skiing jewel) now presents 113 km of pistes, as well as 16 km of sign-posted ski routes, and therefore the area is counted to the top 10 in Tyrol. Equipped with most modern snow-making technology, Wildschönau and the Alpbachtal offer great snow conditions. Additionally, approx. 70 km of tracked cross-country runs, 110 km of winter hiking trails and numerous activities ensure that there is enough variety. In the evenings, the bars, restaurants and discos entice with their high-spirited après ski, partly with rustic atmosphere.Travel Alpbach
