Winter sports enthusiasts who prefer to explore the beautiful nature on cross-country skis will find wonderful cross-country trails in Ebensee and the surrounding area. The Langbathsee trail starts directly in Ebensee and circles the picturesque Langbathsee. For cross-country skiers who do not want to conquer the full 14 km, it is a good idea to choose the second entry point at Langbathsee. This way you can shorten the loop and have a circular trail with a length of around 8 km in front of you.
In the neighbouring village of Traunkirchen, which is about 5 km away from Ebensee, there is another circular trail, which is ideal for beginners due to its manageable length of 5 km. Just under 15 km from Ebensee is the two-part polar cross-country ski trail in Neukirchen near Altmünster, which is prepared for skating and classic styles. The parallel trails are two and three km long respectively.
