Every resort in the Zillertal has its own cross-country runs. Altogether there is now a network of approx. 125 km. Around Mayrhofen and Hippach you can find 44 km of well-tracked tours, some of which are in skating style. The 5 km long, medium-difficulty Laimach trail starts in the centre of Hippach and runs all the way to Laimach. The Schwendau trail, which is also moderately difficult, starts in Hippach. The trail is about 3.5 km long and runs along the Ziller.
If you'd like to have more variety, you can additionally switch to the cross-country trails in Mayrhofen. You will find no less than nine cross-country trails with a total length of around 35 km there. You can, for example, try the Sprint or Professional trail or experience the wonderful winter landscape on the Genussloipe. Three cross-country trails are even illuminated until 10 p.m. and thus allow you to enjoy the sporty evening hours.
