Ski area Hoch-Imst

The "Hoch-Imst" lift pass provides you with a total of 9 kilometres of pistes for all ages, as well as 8 lifts to take you up the mountain. The area specialises in returning skiers and beginners by offering a wide variety of packages. For the latter and for children, the practice lift is particularly well suited. There is even a colourful practice slope for the little ones, which promises lots of fun and amusement. The longest run is the 3 km long valley run, where you conquer a 1,200 m difference in altitude! For experts, the black pistes on the Alpjoch are the perfect choice.

The night skiing and night tobogganing options are also popular, as Imst is home to one of the longest illuminated slopes in Tyrol, stretching over 4 km.

You want more variety? Then Imst is the right place for you as you can quickly reach the surrounding top ski areas from here: the Pitztal Glacier and Rifflsee, for example (around 40 km away), Hochzeiger (15 km), Kühtai (35 km) or the Arlberg (45 km).

Après ski Imst

Imst is a rather quiet place as far as typical après-ski is concerned. Not least because of this, the little town is very popular with families. Nevertheless, there are a few options here to end the ski day with a delicious drink - at the Schirmbar Hoch-Imst, for example, at the Irish Pub or the Shakerz Lounge, where you can also find trendy cocktails, among other things.

Imst also scores with a wide range of leisure activities off the slopes: Tobogganing on the two toboggan runs in the ski area (4 and 6 km respectively), ice skating, curling, snowshoe hiking and horse-drawn sleigh rides. 100 km of winter hiking trails are available for hiking fans. Climbing fans also get their money's worth in winter at the Imst climbing centre - in Austria's highest climbing hall or on the 1,312 m² covered outdoor climbing tower. So there is never a dull moment, because plenty of variety is provided.

The Alpine Coaster is just the thing for families. At 3.5 km long, it is the longest Alpine roller coaster in the world! An extraordinary swimming experience awaits you in the Aqua Dome. The large, modern thermal bath, which impresses even from the outside with its futuristic shell pools, is about 40 minutes by car from Imst. The facilities include sports and activity pools, a water world for children, a wellness and spa area and a fitness centre.

Are you interested in culture? Then you are sure to find something suitable in the town's events programme, which is full of concerts, exhibitions and theatre performances. In addition, it is worth visiting the Haus der Fasnacht, a museum that highlights the carnival customs of the town.

Snowpark: Snowpark Imst

This winter, the Hoch-Imst ski area has something new to offer: finally, there is also a suitable area for freestylers. The fun park at the Malchbach lift offers 15 different obstacles, divided between the beginner, public and pro lines. They include kickers, boxes, rails and jib elements.
