Cross-country skiers are guaranteed not to miss out around Kaprun and Zell am See! The picturesque area around Lake Zell seems to be made for the Nordic disciplines. Zell am See and Kaprun together offer approx. 36 km of cross-country trails. Kaprun has about 23 km, including the 1.3 km long high-altitude or glacier trail (2,900) on the Kitzsteinhorn. The trail is definitely a highlight for cross-country skiing fans!
The flat, approximately 2 km long Brunwiesenloipe, which starts at the Kaprun Cross-Country Centre, is particularly suitable for beginners. The 3.5 km long Tauern Spa trail and the 5.2 km long Schlossloipe also start at the Cross-Country Centre.Another highlight is the night trail in nearby Kaprun.
