Ski area Glungezer
Gourmets will particularly love the forest descents and can take a break in the quaint and cosy mountain huts. Families with small children feel really at home on the small but fine ski mountain Glungezer, which invites you to relaxed skiing with enough flat slopes.
Experts have the opportunity to try their hand at the 9 km long FIS downhill run with a difference in altitude of 1,500 m. The FIS downhill run is a great opportunity for skiers and snowboarders. The valley descent from Schartenkogel to the valley station in Tulfes is one of the longest downhill runs in Tyrol, with a difference in altitude of 15 km and over 1,300 metres. Snowboarders can let off steam in the fun parks at Schartenkogel. At the edge of the pistes, rustic huts and a cosy restaurant at Halsmarter invite you to stop for a bite to eat.
Après ski Kolsassberg
Anyone wanting to experience more action in the evenings can take a trip into the Innsbruck nightlife (approx. 25 km) with its numerous bars and discos!
Snowpark: Jib-Park Kolsassberg
The ski region "Olympia World Innsbruck" and especially the ski areas "Glungezer" and "Rangger Köpfl" are not only great due to their spectacular descents. There are many possibilities for freestyle fans and everyone from beginner to pro will experience an unforgettable experience at a high altitude.
Not only families but also freestylers get their money's worth at Glungezer: Since winter 2011/12 there is a so called "Jib-Park": Adrenalin junkies expect various obstacles that change their course several times during the season. By changing places, new combinations are created again and again, which fit perfectly into the given terrain. The variety makes it possible for ambitious freestylers as well as those who still want to become one, to use the snowpark. At the Glungezer Jib Fest in April, daring freestylers of all ages can prove their skills and compete with others.
