Maurach
The small, yet fine resort of Maurach is located at 950 m on the southern shore of Achensee. Snow enjoyment and relaxation are top priorities here. The village's rustic Tyrolean charm is very inviting and many restaurants offer culinary delight. Particularly nice is its close proximity to the ski area. Guests can comfortably reach the Maurach ski area with the Rofan lift.A "flight" with the new sky glider "Airrofan" ensures an adrenaline rush; soar like an eagle over the Gschöllkopf, down 200 m altitude at 80 km/h! Off-piste, guests can relax with sport activities such as tobogganing, or go on a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride along the lake. The Notburga art museum is also definitely worth a day trip.
