The small mountain city of Mittersill lies centrally at 790 m above the see, in the middle of the holiday region of Hohe Tauern National Park. With a population of approx. 5600, the city provides not only the most modern exhibition centre in the National Park, but also a lot of sportive, traditional and cultural highlights. One of those is the very good connection with Kitzbühel ski area, as well as with the surrounding tracks, several shops for a relaxing shopping tour, a small museum and the Mittersill Castle.
