Night skiing Niederau

The ski area Ski Juwe is one of the best night ski areas in Austria. In Reith at Reither Kogel, skiing by night is possible on approx. 6 km of pistes. The lifts Reitherkogelbahn, Nordlift and the Brandachlift tow-lift are open for night skiing every Friday and Saturday from 18:30 - 21:15. On Tuesdays at the same time, the family piste is also illuminated for ski touring, the lifts, however, stay closed. Apart from the night ski area at Reither Kogel, you can also get ready for night skiing in Wildschönau nearbei Niederaus: The ski area Roggenbogen opens two large pistes with snowmaking systems every Wednesday and Thursday between 19:30 and 21:00 for night skiing or night tobogganing. The lift passes for night skiing can each be acquired in resort.

Après ski Niederau

Après ski in the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau offers something for everyone. Attractively located, cosy huts and snack stations on the ski area or in the valley invite you to turn in for good apres ski. A good place for getting started is, for instance, "Bobo's-Heustadl-Bar" or the "Schnappshütte," located right next to the valley station of the Markbachjoch lift, or the "Gruttn Stadl" at the valley station of the Schatzberg lift.

Since 2016/2017 season, winter sports fans can look forward to the Norderbergalm ski hut at Markbachjoch. Here you a well cared for with hot and cold drinks and regional dishes.

Great fun for the whole family is a go on the Wildschönau toboggan run, or maybe also a snowshoe hike through the wonderful winter landscape of the upper valley. In the evenings there are numerous restaurants and pubs with typical Tyrolean specialities.

Night-owls will find it worth visiting the various bar, pubs and discos, which also partly offer live music, later in the evenings.

Snowpark: Family Snowpark Wildschönau Niederau

The ski area "Ski Juwel Alptachtal Wildschönau" not only offers wonderful pistes, but also has a respectable offer for freestyle opportunities! Pros and beginners can find a snow park at Schatzberg, which is a real diamond within the ski area.

Is today a day for relaxing or rather a day for rocking the pipe? Not sure? Then off you go to the "Family Snowpark Wildschönau"! Beginners and pleasure riders will find two straight boxes there and also a rainbow box, of each 4 meters length. The 6-metre kicker and wave ride however are also great to try out.

Is that too boring for you? There are also more challenging lines for those who are seeking a bit of action: the 8-metre straight-, curved- and kinked boxes let adrenaline junkies' hearts beat faster. And all this in front of breath-taking panorama. To complete the perfect offer there is also a 90 m long half-pipe and a kicker with 14-metre table available in the park. Contests are organised here, underlined by a great sound system. In the "Family-Park" you can be sure to find fun and community for all ages.

If you are looking for a real kick, you should definitively go and visit the "Race and Training Centre" in Niederau at the Tennladen slope. This place has been the starting point for many a racer's career and this might be the place for challenging a new experience. Curious? Then off you go and be part of the freestyler scene in the Alpbachtal.
