Ski area Gurgl - Obergurgl-Hochgurgl
The "Obergurgl-Hochgurgl" ski area is located at the end of the Ötztal at an altitude of 1,793 - 3,082 m and offers 112 kilometres of piste and 25 lifts. It is not for nothing that it has the reputation of being the most snow-sure ski area in the Alps - the high altitude and state-of-the-art snow-making facilities speak for themselves! 99% of the pistes can be covered with artificial snow, meaning that the lifts are in operation from November to May! The two areas are perfectly connected by the "Top-Express-Gurgl" gondola lift - the 3.6 km ride only takes approx. 9 minutes, during which you have a fantastic view of the surrounding glaciers!
Hochgurgl is particularly suitable for beginners with its wide, flat slopes. Obergurgl is more challenging, but also has some blue pistes. Experts can enjoy themselves on the Hohe Mut piste in Obergurgl - the most challenging slope in the Ötztal entices with mogul pistes and a particularly steep descent!
For freestylers, there is a snowpark at the Bruggenbodenbahn in Obergurgl, which offers two different lines and almost 20 obstacles for new momentum and pure adrenaline. Numerous great freeride areas, including on the Wurmkogel, Festkogel and Hohe Mut, also provide plenty of fun and action.
The "Top Mountain Crosspoint" is well worth a visit. The modern building fulfils three purposes at once: it is the valley station of the Kirchenkarbahn Section I cable car with a service restaurant, a toll station for the Timmelsjocher High Road and the highest motorbike museum in Europe, the Mountain Motorcycle Museum. The modern, multifunctional complex is architecturally modelled on a snowdrift.
Night skiing Gurgl - Obergurgl-Hochgurgl
In the Ötztal in Austria, there are some pistes for skiing at night, which are opened on some days outside the daily operating hours of the lifts. This special offer is also available in the Obergurgl-Hochgurgl ski area, so that the daily skiing fun doesn't have to end at the regular lift closing time. An illuminated piste is available in both areas on certain days for evening skiing fun.Après ski Gurgl - Obergurgl-Hochgurgl
If you are looking for a change of pace away from the pistes during the day, you can enjoy winter hiking, ski guiding, snowshoeing, Bavarian curling or ice skating on the ice rink in Obergurgl. In Hochgurgl there is also the 3 km long, winding natural toboggan run, which is also floodlit once a week in the evening. The Freizeit Arena in Sölden is also worth a visit. Here you will find everything your heart desires: adventure bath, sauna area, relaxation pools, indoor sports facilities and skittles / skittle alleys. Another highlight in Hochgurgl is the 700 m² indoor golf course.
Snowpark Gurgl - Obergurgl-Hochgurgl: Quattro Snow Park
There is a snowpark at the Bruggenboden lift in the Obergurgl-Hochgurgl ski area.
For the centrepiece of the Funmountain in Obergurgl, the crew has been increased to provide perfect conditions for all those who love shredding. With at least 18 varied obstacles, the park offers an exciting set-up that puts the finishing touches to the ski area.
The Familypark is now set up where the snowpark used to be: The youngest shredheads and freestyle beginners will get their money's worth here. The snowpark can now be found at the Steinmannbahn lift and has grown significantly in size as a result of the change of location! Events and contests round off the offer. There is also a fun slope in the ski area that is suitable for young and old.
