In total, 190 km of piste for all abilities incl. ski routes will make skiers' hearts race. The Alta Pusteria, with its resorts Sillian, Kartitsch and Obertilliach, as well as the Lienz Dolomites' two ski areas, distinguish themselves due to their easy and intermediate pistes. For this reason it is great for beginners and families.
When the Matrei and Kals ski areas were connected, the Großglockner Resort was created and with 43.6 kilometres of piste is the largest ski region in East Tyrol. Next to relaxing runs to savour, there are also challenging black pistes for advanced skiers, such as from the Cimaross (2,621 m) or the Blauspitze (2,575 m). Splendid deep-snow and off-piste areas can be found all around the Brunnalm, the Lienzer Dolomites as well as Alta Pusteria.
The Mölltaler Glacier and Ankogel offer an especially snow-sure terrain and awesome snowpark for boarders and freestylers.
