Ski holidays Pill - Pure tradition in the middle of the Karwendel!

Pill

Pill is a small, charming village with just 1,224 inhabitants located in the Lower Inn Valley at an altitude of 556 metres. The village is located just 28 kilometres from the Tyrolean capital of Innsbruck. Pill was first mentioned in a document in 1283 by the Abbot of Wilten as "in monte bulle" (Pillberg). The highest mountain in the area is the Kellerjoch (2,344 m), part of the Karwendel mountain range, on the flanks of which the local ski area is located.

In addition to the winter sports enthusiasts who can be found further down the slopes, nature lovers can enjoy breathtaking views of the Hochinntal valley and the surrounding mountains from the summit. Especially when the forests of the surrounding region are covered in snow in winter, a skiing holiday in Pill becomes a very special experience in the winter wonderland "Made in Tirol".

Ski Region Innsbruck

Tyrol's provincial capital lies directly on the Inn, surrounded by a breathtakingly beautiful mountain backdrop. Innsbruck offers the unique opportunity to spend the duration of your holiday in one of Europe's loveliest cities and yet still be almost directly in the ski are at the same time - an ideal holiday destination for all those who want to combine their skiing holiday with a little culture! As site of the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympics und 1976 and with a total of 308 km, the Olympia SkiWorld enjoys a first class international reputation. Next to the numerous sights in Innsbruck itself, the region also has a lot to offer. The pilgrimage church St. Peter and St. Paul in Götzens is a special feature with its architecture and acoustics. An alternative day-trip destination is the Ambras Castle, which lies above Innsbruck and is considered one of the most well-known sights in the provincial capital.
