Pill
Pill is a small, charming village with just 1,224 inhabitants located in the Lower Inn Valley at an altitude of 556 metres. The village is located just 28 kilometres from the Tyrolean capital of Innsbruck. Pill was first mentioned in a document in 1283 by the Abbot of Wilten as "in monte bulle" (Pillberg). The highest mountain in the area is the Kellerjoch (2,344 m), part of the Karwendel mountain range, on the flanks of which the local ski area is located.In addition to the winter sports enthusiasts who can be found further down the slopes, nature lovers can enjoy breathtaking views of the Hochinntal valley and the surrounding mountains from the summit.
