Ski holidays Saalfelden - The absolute winter holiday!
Saalfelden
The family-friendly holiday resort of Saalfelden lies at an altitude of 748 m in the heart of Salzburg's mountains and, together with the neighbouring municipality of Leogang, is one of the most important towns in the sunny Pinzgau Saalach Valley. Elevated to the status of a town in 2000, the municipality has a predominantly rural-charming character alongside an urban structure in the town centre. The magnificent landscape with the unique nature of the Saalfeldner Basin, which is framed by the Steinernes Meer in the north, the Leoganger Steinberge in the west and the Hochkönig massif in the east, has made the town a popular holiday and recreation destination. The city centre captivates with a diverse range of shops and shopping opportunities that invite you to shop and take a relaxed stroll. Home-style inns and restaurants, coffee houses and bars tempt with regional specialities and many other culinary delights. Numerous sports and leisure activities promise a varied holiday in the snow in the mountains. Whether you are a nature, culture or sports lover, everyone will get their money's worth in the lively and diverse Saalfelden!
Saalbach-Hinterglemm
In the heavenly Salzburger Land and in the middle of the Glemm Valley lies the Saalbach-Hinterglemm region. The area is still part of the well-known Kitzbüheler Alps and entices with its diverse range of recreational activities. The highest peaks are the Spiegelhorn (2,044 m) and the Hochkogl (2,249 m). Holidays aren't just enjoyable here, but are an absolute experience. Whether you want to wedel down the slopes in the "footsteps" of the world champions, jump airs in the half-pipe or savour fantastic deep snow descents - you are in good hands at the site of the 1991 alpine skiing championships. The unique ski area of Saalbach Hinterglemm revolves around you! Due to a bypass tunnel, a pedestrian zone was able to be built in the entire town area of Saalbach and Hinterglemm, which has improved recreational opportunities. And when it gets dark, the nightlife buzzes in numerous huts, bars, pubs and restaurants.Travel Saalfelden
