Schladming
From the magnificent backdrop of the Dachstein massif, in midst of the Schladming-Dachstein-Tauern region lies the popular resort Schladming, which was host to the Ski World Championship in 2013. The appearance of the resort centre is mainly dominated by small, old-fashioned buildings and many lively squares. Numerous shopping promenades, street cafés, guest houses, pubs and discos are to be found in the traditional resort buildings. From the centre of the resort it is only a few metres to the to the entry of the ski area Planai. Besides great pistes there is also a diverse offer of off-piste activities which will make the holiday unforgettable. Families are recommended to try the toboggan run or the activity pool in resort.Schladming-Dachstein - Ski amadé
The popular holiday region of Schladming-Dachstein is in the north west of Steiermark and offers fascinating views of the mountain panorama of the ski area Ski amadé. Numerous cosy resort areas are arranged around attractive ski areas that promise loads of variety. Families with children in particular will love the offerings, which promise a marvellous holiday. The thought of the varied pistes, among them FIS- and World Cup slopes, funparks, and free-ride areas is sure to get skier's hearts beating a little faster! The Nordic Ski World Cup took place here in 1999 - which is no wonder, considering the 714 km of trails!
