Ski holidays Tauplitz - pure enjoyment!
Tauplitz
Tauplitz, with its approx. 1,000 inhabitants, is located in the Styrian Salzkammergut, at an altitude of approx. 896 m. The valley is overlooked by the towering Grimming massif (2,351 m). Already 100 years ago, skiing was a thing in Tauplitz. In 1911, the first Styrian Ski Championship took place here. Tauplitzalm-Dorf (1,600 m) is uniquely located on a sunny plateau and makes for a beautiful holiday destination thanks to it's idyllic, car-free centre with some good restaurants and cosy huts. If you are accommodated in Tauplitzalm-Dorf, you have direct access to the pistes or cross-country trails. Six crystal-clear mountain lakes characterise the picturesque landscape. A sporty highlight is the Kulm, the largest natural ski jump in the world, which has been the venue for many a Ski Jumping Championship.Styrian Salzkammergut
The Styrian Salzkammergut - comprising the Ausseerland and Hinterberg Valley - is a region with upholds lots of charm and tradition. Folk music, dance and costume play a large role here. Many resorts in this area can still proudly present hand-made crafts, such as textile printing, custom tailoring, leather trouser crafting and hat crafting. The beautiful and diverse landscape with various valleys, the Traun river bed, many lakes and mountain peaks - such as the dominant Dachstein massif and the Totes Gebirge (dead mountains) - make this a unique place to visit.Travel Tauplitz
