The Montafon is home to 33 well-maintained cross-country ski trails, offering a total of almost 90 km of cross-country skiing fun. Of these, 68 km are designed for classic skiing and 22 km for sporty skating. There are longer circular tours and easy short trails for beginners. One of the highlights is the Kristberg high-altitude trail, which challenges your fitness on over 9.3 km of classic tracks. On the Silvretta-Bielerhöhe there is an easy high-altitude trail of 4 km in length (Silvretta-Höhenloipe No. 3), which offers fantastic views.
Nearby Tschagguns you can access four cross-country ski trails: a connecting trails runs by Tschaggungs train station and Aktivpark Montafon in Schruns and ends in Vandans after approx. 6 km. The "Zelfen" round passes the Montafon golf course and a small part of the connecting trail. The track is 1.3 km long and can be used in skating style. Tschagguns also has two other cross-country ski trails, both just under 1 km in length.
