Fans of this Nordic sport will not be left wanting in the Salzburger Saalachtal: Lofer alone offers a network of 30 km of trails of easy and medium level. A further 50 km in Unken-Heutal join this, which are classified as easy to medium level. Simple circuits can be found especially in the valley, whereas the snow-sure high-altitude trails on the Loferer Alm and in the Heutal are more demanding. The high-altitude trail on the Loferer Alm is especially sunny, making it highly recommended for all those who want to catch some rays on the side. There is also the opportunity to take a trip to the Winklmoosalm on the Bavarian side. The trail leads slightly uphill and requires a bit of stamina!
