Ski holidays Warth-Schröcken – snow hole at the Arlberg!
Warth-Schröcken
They are still mostly only known to insiders: the family-friendly districts of Warth and Schröcken are especially popular thanks to their traditional village character. Away from all the mass tourism, these districts lay embedded between the Arlberg, Lech and Bregenzerwald and form a real snow hole. The ski area Warth-Schröcken, which is directly accessible from Warth, is one of the most reliable for snow in the whole of Europe - with up to 11 m of fresh snow each year. In Warth itself, the highest located and also the second-smallest resort of the Vorarlberg, many accommodations offer direct access to the pistes. From Schröcken you only need approx. 5 - 10 minutes with the ski bus (if applicable, for a fee). The resort at the foot of the Hochtannenbergpass spreads over a number of dispersed settlements, both on the slopes and on the sunny plateau. At the end of a ski day, you can comfortably descend back to the village on skis.Bregenzerwald
Between Lake Constance and the Arlberg, in the most western part of Austria, you can find the Bergenzerwald. The northern part is rather hilly, whilst towards the south the valley becomes narrow and the mountains become steeper. The Bergenzerwald is influenced strongly by its Swabian and Swiss neighbours and old traditions are still alive today. A good example of this is the "Cheese Street", an association of farmers, innkeepers, craftsmen and businesses, all combined in the traditional making of cheese. So don't forget to try the "Bergenzerwald Mountain Cheese". The region is however also popular for its snow security. Enjoy more than 506 km of piste and the lovely panoramic view of the Bergenzerwald!Travel Warth-Schröcken
