Ski holidays Zell am See - seemingly endless glacier, mountain and lake panoramas!

Zell am See

Zell am See lies at an altitude of 750 m on the edge of the Hohe Tauern National Park in Austria. Surrounded by mighty peaks, glaciers and gentle hills, the municipality lies, as its name suggests, idyllically on the shores of Lake Zell. The local mountain of Zell am See, the 2,000 m high Schmittenhöhe, offers holidaymakers the opportunity to experience the magnificent nature and sporting challenges, especially in winter. The old town of Zell can look back on a long history dating back to the early Middle Ages. Today, the Grand Hotel Zell am See is particularly worth seeing. The famous house has become a landmark due to its location directly on the shore and its imposing architectural style.

As the tourist centre and district capital of the Pinzgau region, Zell am See offers everything your heart desires. In addition to winter sports and perfect access to several nearby ski resorts, Zell am See offers many other events and opportunities for leisure activities. From mountain festivals, dog sled races or ice skating on the Zeller See, it never gets boring in the village. And for those who are still brave in the evening, they can literally try their luck in the casino in Zell am See.

Those looking for relaxation will not only find it in the nature around Lake Zell, but also in the nearby TAUERN SPA or during winter activities such as snow kiting, Nordic walking and, quite classically, skiing in the house skiing area Schmittenhöhe - Zell am See.

Zell am See-Kaprun

Zell am See-Kaprun is situated in the heart of Salzburger Land and is one of the most well-known and important holiday regions in all of Austria. It is dominated by the peaks of the surrounding mountains Kitzsteinhorn (3,203 m), Schmittenhöhe (2,000 m) and Maiskogel (1,675 m). Integrated into the Hohen Tauern, the region stands for maximum winter fun. In addition to varied and, thanks to the Kitzsteinhorn glacier, very snow-sure pistes, the region offers its guests a lush leisure programme and unforgettable après ski along with everything else that makes the perfect winter holiday.
