Ski area Les Sybelles
The huge area of pistes offers ideal conditions for beginners and families with children, as the numerous blue pistes provide a varied introduction to skiing fun for the less experienced. The mostly blue pistes in Le Corbier are flat, so that beginners or children can reach the village at any time without any problems. The more experienced skiers will also have fun on the more than 200 km of intermediate slopes and almost 22 km of black slopes.
The slope above La Toussuire is characterised by red, intermediate slopes in the upper part, while the terrain just before the ski station is peppered with easy, sky-blue runs. The 10-seater gondola lift, the Côte du Bois, connects the valley area of La Toussuire with the middle area, where there are further lifts to Ouillon and Le Corbier
In addition to many family-friendly runs, Les Sybelles also offers very good deep snow conditions, including at l'Ouillon, Bellard and Grand Truc. Those who like it fast on the groomed pistes will have fun on the black piste "Casse Pipe". Freestylers can let off steam in the snow park and night skiers can enjoy two floodlit pistes.
Night skiing La Toussuire
Skiers and snowboarders who want to continue skiing after a long day on the piste can do so at night skiing in La Toussuire. Every Tuesday during the Christmas holidays from 17:15 and from mid-February to mid-March from 17:45, night skiing under floodlights is offered on an easy, 300 m long piste at the Petite Verdette lift. The same applies to the Lièvre piste in St Jean d'Arves. There, the run is floodlit over a length of 500 m every Thursday during the French school holidays from 6 pm to 8 pm.Après ski La Toussuire
Après-ski in Saint Sorlin is rather quiet. After an eventful day on the slopes, you can round off the evening with a delicious Savoyard meal such as raclette or cheese fondue. If you're still not tired afterwards, you can play billiards or darts in the "L'Avalanche" pub, while the hard-boiled can go dancing with delicious cocktails in the "D'Sybell Club" discotheque.
When the last lift has closed, the lights in La Toussuire are far from going out. Winter holidaymakers can unbuckle their skis right on the doorstep and plunge straight into the après-ski fun. And that doesn't just mean the numerous bars, restaurants and clubs in the ski resort. Because in the heated shopping streets on the ground floor of the central apartment buildings, small shops and shops also appeal to shopping fans.
Although Le Corbier cannot be equated with the relevant alpine après-ski strongholds, the resort still offers a wide range of refreshment and leisure options off the piste. In addition to the ski huts and restaurants in the ski area, you will also find a disco and a pub as well as many cafés and restaurants in the village, which are easily accessible throughout the day as Le Corbier is located right at the foot of the slopes.
Those who want to experience the region from a bird's eye view can book paragliding flights on site. But even less courageous holidaymakers will find other leisure activities in Le Corbier besides the slopes - from the indoor pool to the spa with sauna and steam bath to the snow tubing track.
Those who want to be active away from the slopes in St. Jean d'Arves will find a wide range of activities on offer. The leisure options for action-hungry winter holidaymakers range from dog sledding, snowmobile tours and snowshoe or night hikes to ice climbing tours and paragliding. For families, there are also excursions to local donkey farms, which also offer horseback rides. Meanwhile, fans of culture and cuisine should definitely not miss out on a visit to one of the excellent regional cheese dairies.
Snowpark: Snowpark Sy'X Park La Toussuire
In the "Les Sybelles" ski area, the "Sy'X Park" awaits freestylers of all kinds. Located at L'Ouillon in La Toussiere at an altitude of 2,100 m - 2,370 m, this is the largest park in the ski area. Here, red and black modules await advanced riders and freestyle experts in particular. Large boxes, tables and kickers demand creativity and good skills. There is also the "Easy Park", which is ideal for beginners and novices with its blue and green modules. The ski area also offers a challenging boardercross course.
