Ski holidays Reit im Winkl - The winter paradise in Upper Bavaria!

Reit im Winkl

Situated at 696 metres above sea level, Reit im Winkl is not only a state-recognised climatic health resort, but also a winter paradise. Whether you are looking for peace and quiet or are a winter sports enthusiast - there is something for everyone here. The resort is one of the most popular destinations for a very special winter holiday, not least because of its excellent snow guarantee. The glistening snow, clear air and snow-covered mountains provide a breathtaking backdrop for long snowshoe hikes or romantic walks.

Young and old alike can enjoy one of the longest natural toboggan runs in Germany, with around 4 kilometres of pure fun awaiting you. If you need a break in between, you can treat yourself to culinary delights at one of the numerous mountain huts with Bavarian specialities or warm up with a cup of hot chocolate. A horse-drawn sleigh ride through the snow-covered, breathtaking winter landscape of the Chiemgau is recommended for romantics and families. Every guest's heart will beat faster in Reit im Winkl!

Chiemgau

The Chiemgau region is a mostly rural area with a well worth seeing cultural landscape that is rich in tradition. In the South, where the Chiemgau Alps rise up to 1,961 m with the Sonntagshorn, a wonderful mountain world is to be explored! Beautiful mountain lakes, several alp and mountain guest houses, fairy parks and waterparks make this region a favourite for young and old. This vivid tradition makes for a typically Upper Bavarian holiday experience. In winter, the Chiemgau Alps are transformed into a snowy dream landscape for skiers, tobogganers and ice-skaters. Sporting events like the biathlon also attract many visitors to the region during the winter season.
