Ski area Oberhof
Suhl itself has 2 smaller ski areas on offer. The "blackest piste north of the Alps" can be found on the Salzberg in Goldlauter-Heidersbach. The descent is approx. 1 km long. A further slope for beginners and families is to be found in the district Vesser.
On the sloped named "An der Golfwiese", there is 500 m of pleasure skiing to enjoy. Snowtubing can be tried out here, which is increasingly becoming more popular. Further, there entire region offers a range of smaller, yet no lesser impressive ski areas.
Après ski Suhl
With its Congress Centre, Suhl also has an event location with a varied programme, such as e.g. concerts and cabaret. There also is a large cinema in town.
You prefer sportive activities when you're not on skis? Suhl has a large selection of offers for you. Water lovers are drawn to Ottilienbad, an adventure pool with sauna landscape and massage offers. Tennis and squash is also on offer, but alternatively you can enjoy your afternoon outdoors as well. For example you could take a snow shoe hike on one of the prepared hiking trails, or enjoy a speedy descent on the toboggan run at the lifts in Vesser.
Snowpark: Snowpark Suhl
At the Fallbachhang in Oberhof, a freestlye playground has been founded on private initiative of a few young snowboard talents. In the funpark Oberhof, beginners and pros alike can try out the elements which are waiting here. There are various boxes, rails and kickers, but also a jib barrel, tubes and a tank.
