Brunico

Brunico (German: "Bruneck"), the fifth-largest city in South Tyrol, is situated at 838 m in Val Pusteria. The location directly at the famous Plan de Corones offers boarders, carvers and leisurely skiers a first-rate experience! Modern lift systems, well-prepared pistes and beautiful views make the Plan de Corones ski area one of the loveliest in the Dolomites. Brunico is distinguished, above all, by the towering bishop castle Schloss Brunico. Lively happenings in the cafés and bars in Brunico's centre, and the alleys lined with picturesque houses, invite visitors to stroll through the many shops and boutiques.

Plan de Corones

At the foot of the Plan de Corones (2,275 m), in the centre of the picturesque Val Pusteria, are 14 diverse and attractive South Tyrolean villages. Modern gondolas start from various stations and speed up to the peak, from which imposing 360-degree views unfold. Diverse sporting events take place here on a regular basis, e.g. the Val Pusteria ski marathons including the Valle di Casies run, the biggest sporting event in South Tyrol. 121 kilometres of piste, approx. 31 modern lifts, a half-pipe, as well as ample recreational and sporting opportunities and lively après ski ensure a good deal off piste! This ski area is also great for families, thanks to numerous facilities such as the "Croniworld".
