Cornedo all'Isarco
Just a few kilometres east of the South Tyrolean capital of Bolzano, Cornedo all'Isarco extends into the Val d'Ega. The municipality of Karneid consists of several small villages, including Kardaun in the Bolzano valley basin, where the municipal seat and town hall are located. The municipality is named after Cornedo all'Isarco Castle, which towers over the villages on a steep rocky hill. Cornedo all'Isarco is embedded in a very attractive landscape in the southern Dolomites, so that the fraction of Gummer extends into the Rosengarten-Latemar holiday region. From Cardano or Cornedo all'Isarco you can reach the city of Bolzano/Bozen in just a few minutes by car, but you can also quickly reach some wonderful ski areas.
