Ski area Ratschings-Jaufen/Kalcheralm

With the "Südtiroler Wipptal" lift pass, you have access to the Rosskopf, Ladurns and Ratschings-Jaufen/Kalcher Alm ski areas and thus to a varied 66 kilometres of piste. The ski area is located at altitudes between 960 and 2,120 metres and is one of the most modern and snow-reliable in South Tyrol. The 8-seater "Ratschings-Jaufen" gondola lift, which only went into operation a few years ago, and 11 other lift systems transport you quickly and comfortably through the Ratschings-Jaufen ski area, while a further eleven lifts also take you to the other ski areas. A special highlight for all snowboarders are the three snowparks in the ski areas, with kickers, rails and tables for beginners and pros alike. The Funslope in Ratschings-Jaufen is a special highlight for the younger ones. A ski kindergarten, a practice area and a children's carpet lift are available in the Rosskopf ski area. You will find pistes of all levels of difficulty in every ski area, so skiers of all levels will get their money's worth here.

Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy

To use the ski areas, you must have valid liability insurance that covers damage or injury to third parties. This can also be taken out on site for individual days. Skiing while intoxicated (0.5 per mille or higher BAC) is prohibited and is punishable by heavy fines. To reduce the risk of injury, wearing a helmet is compulsory for everyone (regardless of age, on all ski runs, in snow parks and on toboggan runs). Anyone who does not comply with the helmet requirement will be fined or banned from the slopes.

Après ski Ratschings-Jaufen/Kalcheralm

Numerous huts throughout the ski area cater for your physical well-being and offer plenty of variety. You can stop for a bite to eat at almost every descent. After the lifts close, you can socialise at the valley station in the "Stub'n Après Ski". If you prefer to end the evening in peace, you can enjoy the clear mountain air on a winter hike on one of the well-cleared winter hiking trails. More après ski can be found in the town of Sterzing, approx. 5 km away.

Snowpark Ratschings-Jaufen/Kalcheralm: Fun park

Right next to the Enzian 4-seater chair lift is the Ratschings fun park, one of the highlights of the Ratschings-Jaufen ski area. The TÜV-certified obstacles were designed by the renowned QParks team and offer a setup for every skill level. A total of 14 different elements await beginners and pros: beginners can practise on the moderate waves line, the braver ones can try the jib line and for really high jumps there is a kicker line in the pro area. This area is not only great fun, but also excellent for professional training.

For those who don't want to venture straight into the snowpark, but still want to have fun on the slopes, there is a funslope. With playful snow elements such as the popular snail and a moderate slope gradient, it is suitable for all winter sports enthusiasts.
