Ski holidays Renon - a unique panoramic view from a sunny plateau!
Renon
Renon (German: "Ritten") is a widespread high plateau north of the city of Bolzano, and the mountain's name also encompasses the local municipality with altogether 17 villages. The villages on the plateau are located on 1,500 m in the wonderful mountain air and offer an extraordinary of the Sarntal Alps and many more peaks of the Dolomites. The 360-degree-view is known to one of the most beautiful ones in South Tyrol.The local ski mountain is called Rittner Horn, and visitors will find all kinds of leisure time activities. The local ski area has soft and broad pistes, there are numerous ice skating rinks, and the idyllic winter landscape invites you to go tobogganing, snow shoe hiking or cross-country skiing.
The nature in Renon even offers some surprises, such as e.g. the Renon earth pyramids. The ice-age earth pyramids can be found in between Lengmoos and Maria Saal and a definitely worth a visit. Italy's first premium winter hiking path can also be found in Renon - pure hiking enjoyment including a dreamlike 360-degree panorama. Further highlights on the sunny plateau are e.g. the local Christmas market during Advent or taking the historic Renon railway, the last narrow-gauge railway of its kind in South Tyrol.
Province of Bolzano
