Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy
To ensure safety on the ski slopes in Italy, stricter safety regulations have been in force since 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.Après ski Ortisei
Snowpark: Snowpark Piz Sella Ortisei
Apart from a fascinating panoramic view and endless pistes, the ski area Val Gardena is also a special place for the venturesome. The snow park "Piz Sella" is the perfect place to fill freestyle newcomers or families with enthusiasm for the sensational scene, and to give them opportunity to try out their first jumps. On a length of 750 m, various obstacles await you next to a 6-person chair lift right below Langkofel.
Fun boxes, kinked, wave, softbow and rainbow boxes as well as a boardercross run invite you to try out your first tricks and work on your skills. For further kicks, the park was enhanced by a kicker with three different jumps and a boardercross with a spiral tunnel. Every Wednesday and Saturday from 10:00 - 16:00 you can watch the local pros doing their tricks up in the air.
