Cross-country Val di Fiemme

Information on cross-country skiing

150 km Cross-country trails (in km):

Val di Fiemme, often called the "cradle of cross-country skiing", is a paradise for all friends of Nordic skiing. And it's not for nothing that the valley hosted the Nordic ski world championship in 1991, 2003 and 2013. The traditional Marcialonga-race, the international cross-country ski race leading through the valleys Val di Fassa and Val di Fiemme on over 70 km, has been taking place here since 1971. Val die Fiemme has a total of 150 km of trails and its network is suitable for both beginners and more experienced Nordic skiers. The high altitude trails as Lavazè/Jochgrimm, which run through the wonderful mountain landscapes on an altitude of up to 2,150 m and offer different levels of difficulty, are a special experience. The longest trail can be found in Deutschnofen-Petersberg: With its length of 25 km, it demands a lot of stamina. The heart of cross-country skiing in Val di Fiemme is at Lago di Tesero. Here you cannot only find the 3 km flood-lit trail, but also the Nordic ski station with its modern cross-country and ski jumping facilities from the world championships.
