Ski holidays Vigo di Fassa - Fantastic Dolomites!

Vigo di Fassa

The cosy resort of Vigo di Fassa (1,382 m) lies directly in front of a gorgeous panoramic view of Rosengarten (2,981 m). Not only does the idyllic location of the resort make it especially interesting, but also the lively resort centre boasts the characteristics of the old ruling system to this day. At one time, Vigo di Fassa was a religious centre and home to the public administration headquarters of the valley. Despite its southern flair, there is less hustle and bustle than in the other remaining towns. Families will especially appreciate the manageable size of the resort. From pleasant walks through the forest and pure skiing delight to exciting climbing opportunities, Vigo di Fassa holds its own as an excellent holiday destination for travellers.

Val di Fassa

Val di Fassa is located in the southwest part of the Dolomites in Trentino and borders South Tyrol. The idyllic valley is dominated by some of the most famous Dolomite peaks, such as the Catinaccio group (3,004 m), the Langkofel (3,181 m), the mighty Sella group and the impressive Marmolada glacier (3,342 m). The small Avisio river meanders through the valley where three languages are spoken (German, Italian, Ladin) and passes many famous resorts.

With approx. 144 km of piste and 59 lifts, it is one of the largest ski areas in the Dolomiti-Superski union and furthermore offers a connection to the world-renowned Sella Ronda. Val di Fassa, where tourism is the biggest source of income, offers its guests, alongside a first class ski area, plenty to see and do such as diverse leisure activities encompassing sport and relaxation, tradition and culture, hospitality and obviously the great Trentino cuisine.
