Ski area Axamer Lizum

The "Axamer Lizum" lift pass opens up a total of 29 kilometres of pistes and 10 km of ski routes between 1,560 and 2,340 m altitude! The new 10-seater gondola lift takes you from the car park up to the Hoadl-Haus restaurant in less than 10 minutes. Axamer Lizum is part of the Innsbruck Olympic region and became famous as the venue for the Alpine skiing competitions of the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympics. Thanks to its good location and 136 snow cannons, which can cover 85% of the pistes with snow, it is guaranteed to have snow from December to April and descents to the car park are almost always possible. Rosi Mittermaier has already travelled the slopes and won Olympic gold.

The medium-difficulty Olympic downhill runs on the Hoadl are particularly beautiful and can also be used by less experienced skiers. The most difficult descent in the area starts at Birgitzköpfl, which leads 2.5 kilometres down to the valley station over partly bumpy slopes. The challenging ski routes on the Hoadl and Pleisen as well as plenty of open terrain will make the hearts of experts and freeriders beat faster. The varied Golden Roofpark with kickers, butter boxes, rails, spines and tubes is also located at the exit of the Karleiten lift.

Even more fun on the slopes awaits you with the "Ski plus City Pass", which gives you unforgettable piste experiences on 339 km of varied slopes (see ski region).

Several free Wi-Fi hotspots are available in the ski area so that you can share your impressions directly with your friends and family.

Après ski Axams

A day of skiing in Axamer Lizum can be finished off very well with après ski. Restaurants, après ski bars and a disco are located directly at the valley station. Here, you can enjoy the sun and party hard. A special tip is the umbrella bar Hoadl at the mountain station of the Olympic runway with view to the Kalkkögl and Stubai Alps. At the Hoadl house, there are regular events with radio stations.

The toboggan run at Axams (approx. 3.9 km) offers more action and is even illuminated until midnight. Winter hikers and snowshoe hikers can also pursue their passion.

In the ski area Mutteralm- Mutters/Götzens, only about 8 km away, you also have the possibility to ski the first permanent route of Austria for fatbike and snowbike tours. The route leads over the FIS route into the valley. A great experience for all those who don't just want to conquer the slope on skis. A visit to the leisure centre in Axams is a great way to relax. There is an indoor swimming pool with heated outdoor pool and a large sauna area as well as ice rinks for ice skating and curling. For those who still want to go high, there is also a bouldering hall available.
