Axams
The idyllic resort Axams is located at approx. 874 m altitude and is only approx. 12 km from the Tyrolean capital Innsbruck. It's sunny exposition in midst of the impressive mountain landscape is the reason why Axams is such a popular holiday destination. Although this place is known as the venue for the Winter Olympics in 1964 and 1976, the resort has maintained its tranquillity and Tyrolean charm. Various hotels, restaurants and après ski bars can be found here, where you can let the day come to a cosy end. Further, there is a leisure centre in Axams, offering a multitude of free time activities. The Tyrolean capital Innsbruck invites you to stroll and admire the many beautiful sights it has to offer. About 8 km south of this resort lies Axamer Lizum, with direct access to the homonymous alp and ski area.Axamer Lizum
Holidays in the Axamer Lizum stand for unforgettable winter fun. Sunny resorts lie embedded in the impressive landscape of the Innsbruck mountains. The ski area was expanded especially for the 1964 Olympic Games, and with the right snow conditions, it is possible to ski down to the village in some places. In addition to varied pistes of different levels of difficulty, the "Golden Roofpark" snow park and 300 ha of freeride terrain await you. The cosy villages have retained their original charm and enchant with their Tyrolean architecture. Axamer Lizum is particularly interesting for families.
