Ski area Dachstein West
The "Gaudi" pistes also promise real skiing pleasure: slalom course with time measurement, snowcross area and a wave piste. Mogul pistes named "Donnergroll", "Schwarzreiter" and "Freier Fall" are the perfect place for experienced skiers. A very popular destination among snowboarders is the snowpark Playground Snowpark Gosau at the Hornspitz mountain railway. Freestylers will get their money's worth here!
Many fun children's lands and children's clubs ensure a successful family holiday. The youngest among the winter sports enthusiasts have the opportunity to let off steam in Brumsiland at the Hornspitzbahn - on a small boardercross course, for example, or slalom through the fairytale figures. The Bear Camp, Fuxi's Kinderland, Zwisiland, magic carpets and fun parks specially designed for children also make children's hearts beat faster.
Since the 2016/17 season, there is the panoramic ski circuit "Panoronda" with a total length of 44 km. A varied experience on perfectly groomed and marked slopes. Rustic huts and sun terraces invite you to take breaks, especially to enjoy the dreamlike view.

Night skiing Gosau
Night is turned into day in the Dachstein West ski area, as Gosau offers a small night ski area. At Ötscherlift, the bottom section of the valley run is illuminated for night skiing one a week. The approx. 1 km night ski piste is marked a red slope. As part of the night ski offer, Brumsipiste nearby the Hornspitzbahn lift's valley station is also illuminated for beginners and children. Both pistes can be used in the extended opening hours from 18:30 - 20:30. The Hornspitz umbrella bar invites you stay at the end of your night skiing evening. Many leisure time activities are offered here, e.g. horse-drawn sleigh rides, tobogganing, curling or even enjoying a drink at the local regulars' table. Gosau also offers over 40 km of wonderful, snowy winter hiking trails that are just waiting to be explored. After a strenuous day on the piste, a visit to the umbrella bar at the Hornspitz valley run is definitely worthwhile.
Snowpark: Snowpark Dachstein West Gosau
The ski region Dachstein West offers a total of four different funparks and is great for all freestylers! Should you want to start the fun directly in Golling, the "Playground Snowpark Gosnau" is perfectly located directly at the valley station. Via the park's own lift, freestylers can explore the runs of the park, which offers many different obstacles.
However, those looking for the ultimate kick should definitely check out the ‘Snowpark Dachstein West’! Obstacles such as the 6 metre long wave box and various medium kickers, as well as a jib box and a 70 metre long waverun, provide the ultimate adrenaline rush. Does all this seem too daring for you? No problem, because beginner elements also allow newcomers to discover weightlessness. Professional shapers guarantee first-class shred sessions. Thanks to the free Wi-Fi hotspot, you can also share your new successes straight away.
Of course, the ‘Rookie Park’ in Russbach and the ‘Annapark’ in Annaberg are also worth a visit. They are perfect for beginners.
