Ski holidays Innsbruck - the perfect mix of big city flair and skiing holiday!

Innsbruck

Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol, lies at an altitude of 575 m and has a very nice historical district, as well as a comprehensive cultural programme. Surrounded by the imposing mountain backdrop lies Innsbruck, between the northern range of the Karwendel mountains and the foothills of the Alpine mountain range. It's wonderful to stroll through the lovely streets and narrow lanes here. Sights such as the "Goldene Dachl", a late-gothic bay window laid with 2,657 gilded copper plates, the "Annasäule" column, the Hofburg or a trip to the famous Bergisel jump should not be missed! Ideal and unique for all skiing fans in the cities in alpine regions: public transport easily and conveniently brings you from the inner city to the ski area located only a few kilometres away!

Ski Region Innsbruck

Tyrol's provincial capital lies directly on the Inn, surrounded by a breathtakingly beautiful mountain backdrop. Innsbruck offers the unique opportunity to spend the duration of your holiday in one of Europe's loveliest cities and yet still be almost directly in the ski are at the same time - an ideal holiday destination for all those who want to combine their skiing holiday with a little culture! As site of the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympics und 1976 and with a total of 308 km, the Olympia SkiWorld enjoys a first class international reputation. Next to the numerous sights in Innsbruck itself, the region also has a lot to offer. The pilgrimage church St. Peter and St. Paul in Götzens is a special feature with its architecture and acoustics. An alternative day-trip destination is the Ambras Castle, which lies above Innsbruck and is considered one of the most well-known sights in the provincial capital.
