Ötztal offers an extraordinary range of trails for cross-country skiing and skating. A total of 143 km are available for Nordic skiers. Ötztal's cross-country ski centre is Längenfeld with 50 km of trails at different levels of difficulty as well as service points. In the village of Gries, the high-altitude trails promise breathtaking views and are also suitable for beginners. In Obergurgl-Hochgurgl floodlight fans will get their money's worth. Additionally, there are further cross-country ski trails in Ochsengarten, Kühtai, Zwieselstein, Vent, Umhausen/Niederthai as well as in popular Sölden. And best of all: in Ötztal valley, all trails can be used for free! The cross-country trail network of Längenfeld, Gries and Niederthai has also been awarded the cross-country seal of approval.
