Ski holidays Umhausen – Ski holiday in the middle of the Ötztal!

Umhausen

The quiet community of Umhausen is located in the middle of the Ötztal valley at approx. 1,031 m above sea level and is home to the Stuibenfall - the largest waterfall in Tyrol. To the east of Umhausen the Stubai Alps rise, to the west is the enormous mass uplift of the Ötztal Alps.

With the nearby Niederthai ski area and its manageable kilometres of pistes, the holiday resort offers an ideal entry into snow fun for families with children as well as for beginners. However, advanced skiers will also get what they are looking for in the region, as the "Ötztaler Superskipass" gives them access to 5 additional ski areas with a total of 361 kilometres of pistes for the ultimate in skiing pleasure.

Umhausen is particularly suitable as a holiday destination for those who are looking for peace and relaxation after a successful day of skiing. For those who want a little more excitement on one day Sölden, which is only a 20-minute drive away is recommended.

Ötztal

Few alpine valleys have as much to offer a guest as the Ötztal in Tyrol: kilometres of piste en masse and for all abilities, very modern lift systems, extensive cross-country tracks and around 250 mountains looming at 3000 m throughout the Ötztal Alps - skiers' pulses will certainly race! Additionally, there is an abundance of cleared winter hiking trails, rustic huts and in the evenings - depending on taste - an upbeat mood in the numerous discos and bars, a fun sledding party or night skiing. Quaint winter villages, the most prominent winter sports resorts, and not least the Aqua Dome in Längenfeld, which promises rest and relaxation - no wish is left unfulfilled!
