Saalbach Hinterglemm offers a small but fine cross-country skiing area. There is a high-altitude trail over 2 km long from 1,100 to 1,400 m elevation (ascent with the Reiterkogelbahn) and the almost 10 km-long valley end trail near Hinterglemm, which leads to the Lindlingalm.
Winter sports enthusiasts for whom this is not enough will find another 150 km of cross-country trails in Saalfelden Leogang. The cross-country skiing areas around Saalfelden Leogang connect to the extensive cross-country skiing network of the Saalach Valley, which offers about 80 perfectly groomed kilometres. And Fieberbunn adds another 22 or so kilometres of cross-country trails to the offer.
