Information on cross-country skiing

40 km Cross-country trails (in km):

Sheer endless kilometres of trails across vast open spaces and no further skiers anywhere close - welcome to the cross-country region Wildschönau. The Nordic area around the valley resorts Niederau, Oberau and Auffach comprise approx. 40 km of prepared trails. On some sections they are also suitable for skating style, being nice and wide. At Oberau, there are 10 km of tracks available, at Niederau there are 15 km and at the end of the valley, at Auffach you will find another 12 km. Gliding along and experiencing the tranquillity of the snowy landscape is easily done here. In the idyllic high-alpine valley of the Wildschönau, use of the trails is for free, and mostly possible way into March.
