Ski area Oberhof
On the "An der Golfwiese" slope, the 500 metre-long downhill run is a little quieter. Snowtubing in particular, which is becoming increasingly popular, is a lot of fun here. There are also other manageable but no less exciting ski areas to choose from throughout the region.
Après ski Oberhof
For those who want to enjoy the nature around the town and get some exercise, there are numerous options. Oberhof boasts the longest natural toboggan run in Thuringia. It is 2 km long and runs down the mountain - sometimes with a gradient of up to 12 per cent. Adventurous tours through the surrounding area can be undertaken on a snowmobile or skidoo, while a winter hike or horse-drawn sleigh ride are more romantic. If you like speed, you also have the opportunity to race down the toboggan run in Oberhof in an original four-man bobsleigh.
If the weather doesn't co-operate, that's no problem either. There is a bowling alley, for example, and the "Indoor Planet" play world with slides, go-kart track, climbing wall and much more for younger holidaymakers. Or you can relax in the H2Oberhof, the spa and adventure pool with bathing landscape, spa and sauna area.
Snowpark: Snow park Oberhof
A freestyle playground has been created on the Fallbachhang on the private initiative of a few young snowboarders, especially for beginners and advanced riders. The fun park offers various boxes, rails and kickers, as well as a jib barrel, tubes and a tank.
