Ski holidays Schönberg - Relax naturally!

Schönberg

Schönberg is located in the middle of the Bavarian forest (500 to 700 metres). The rural village is bordered by the Grenzgebirge mountains to the north and the Danube ridge to the south. This setting and its direct location at the foot of the Kadernberg give the village a particularly homely and idyllic feel. It is therefore the ideal destination for nature lovers. The unspoilt nature with extensive meadows and forests in the surrounding Bavarian Forest National Park is particularly impressive. The location in the border triangle of Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic also offers visitors many excursion options. A day trip to Prague is just one example of many. With its impressive churches, small local chapels and impressive monuments, Schönberg has a lot to offer not only in terms of scenery, but also culturally. The individual colourful design of the small houses gives the village a southern flair.

Bavarian Forest

The Bavarian Forest is central Europe's largest forest with 6,000 km² of wooded area. In 1970 the national park Bavarian Forest was created which, together with the Bohemian Forest, forms the largest coherent forestal nature reserve in central Europe with a total span of 900 km². Besides of the Alpine region, this region is also known for its affinity to winter sports. Families in particular will find exactly what they are looking for here. Those who prefer not to explore the Bavarian Forest on skis can also go on a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride. The lovely castles and monasteries of the Bavarian Forest are definitively worth while a visit. Numerous restaurant and quaint huts, which offer both regional and international culinary highlights, should also be high on your list of to-do's. Bischofsmais – skiing fun and relaxation against a marvelous winter backdrop!
