Experienced cross-country fans will especially get their money's worth in Santa Caterina. A proud 15 kilometres of track like e.g. the piste Valtellina which reaches 1,800 m altitude and leads through dense forests. Some of the tracks were part of the world championships.
On the other hand, neighbouring Bormio offers 5 kilometres of simpler classical tracks. This includes the 2 km long floodlit "Alù", which entices enthusiasts even late in the day. A further floodlit track can be found near Valdidentro: 15 km of the "Pista Viola" shine in the adventuresome lighting! In total Valdidentro has 25 km of diverse trails offering different levels of expertise on different parts of the tracks.
