The 3 Zinnen Dolomites region is a true paradise for cross-country skiers with over 200 km of groomed trails and is part of the world's largest cross-country skiing network "Dolomiti Nordicski", which comprises a total of over 900 km of cross-country trails. The varied trails offer routes of all levels of difficulty - from easy practice trails to challenging circuits that professional athletes also use for their training.
The cross-country trails that lead past idyllic places such as Lake Dobbiaco or through the romantic Val Fiscalina are particularly scenic. For beginners and connoisseurs, there are easy circuits such as the Schönfelder or Mooser cross-country trails. Demanding athletes will find modern service facilities in the Dobbiaco Nordic Arena as well as several circuits between 2.5 and 10 km in length, which are also regularly used for international competitions.
Night cross-country skiing also offers a change from the daytime circuits: On the 2.3 km long night trail in Dobbiaco and the 1.2 km long Waldheim circular trail in Sesto, cross-country skiers can enjoy the wintry panorama even after sunset.
