Cross-country Achensee

Around the largest lake in Tyrol stretches one of the largest cross-country networks in Austria. Approx. 200 km of tracks are available here for passionate Nordic skiers. Around the lake resorts Pertisau and Maurach on the souther shores there 70 km of trails with magnificent views of the Karwendel mountains. On the northern shores around Achenkirch there are again 60 km of tracks which are suitable for all skill levels. Half a dozen Nordic ski schools offers lessons and equipment for beginners and pros alike, various trails on which cross-country sledging is possible and in Pertisau there is also a dog trail available. This wonderful mountain-lake landscape will make every cross-country skier's heart beat faster.
